mp*s & ip addresses

Regarding downloading mp*s, can the person who you are downloading from find out your ip address. I use zonealarm.pro. If he has your ip address can he look into your files to see what other music/picture files you have elsewhere.

If you use p2p (Kazaa etc.) then I don't think you can hide your IP - if you use ftp then a proxy will hide it. Also anything Java based will reveal your IP if they want it regardless if you're using a proxy. But they're only after the big fish (uploaders) at the moment - according to stats, 75% of what is available on p2p is put there by *5% of the users.
