see whos connected to you

yo, i saw some guy using this program which showed him the ip address of everyone connected to his computer. even people he was in msn conversations with, and not in direct connection by file transfer or webcam etc. i know its not the CMD prompt thing, cos it was a windows program. any ideas what it was?

Perhaps it has a firewall. The Zone Lab´s Zone alarm does something similar. This firewall shows you the ip´s that are trying to conect your computer.
