Being goofed around

Hi,
I've been chatting to two people online.
Once the mails started coming (hotmail) the originating IP's were the same. Is this a hotmail server IP or is it the IP of the person who sent the mail? = in which case, they're one and the same no??

You can check the IP using the whois function from the Tool Box menu in the top left of your screen.

That will tell you if it's a hotmail server.
