Being accessed by hacker

my friend somehow got my IP through MSN messenger and is now able to see my desktop and and do whatever he wants to it. Does anybody know how he got my IP and how I can get his so I can play around with his desktop?

Run a decent freeware firewall like TINY or Zonealarm. There may be Remote Access Trojan on your computer.

i don't actually use msn messenger, but i know that when transfering files there's an ... actually peer to peer connection established. so, netstat would do the trick in finding the remote ip.
well, i obviously might be wrong. do not panic though. when the hacker connects to your box, all you have to do is run netstat -n from command prompt, and you'll see his ip and local port number. you'll notice it, `cause it will be an unusual connection.
