how to obtain ip address through aol instant messanger

i was curious how you were to obtain someones i.p. address through aol buddy list like im trying to get my friends i.p address for fun his sn cDarby7 on instant messanger how would i go about obtaning his i.p?

The old rule was to give a netstat @ the command prompt when they were directly connecting to your computer but now AOL smarteded up and use their own servers for direct connections so you see AOL's IP and not your Buddy's. If anyone knows a way around this please post url here~
