You don’t need any heavy weight prog’s to proxy surf, get Firefox if you already haven’t, grab a proxy spoof extension and you’ll be spamming in no time, I mean spoofing.

While you’re at it, get http ref spoof as well, no sense spoofing if you cant have a laugh as well.

I have my friend who runs a conspiracy web totally paranoid, fbi.gov has an open proxy (careful how you use it though for obvious reasons) and ref spoof is making his conversations with me Oscar worthy. Now he thinks he’s seeing black helicopters, the fun is endless.

A4Proxy is popular, but costs $*5 to register. Why pay for something when you can get free? http://www.inetprivacy.com/a4proxy/

Of course, if you can verify the proxy status somewhere else you enter the addy and port directly in your browser connection settings and don't need another program. There are several site with proxy lists. Working SOCKS proxys, port *080, are the hardest to find.

If you scan for your own ProxyHunter is nice and you can use it to surf with the proxys you've found too. Just google it. Chances are some idiot with a firewall he doesn't understand will log your scan and report it his ISP as a hackattack though.

SpoofStick provides info about the webite you're visiting in an effort to see if it's spoofed. It does nothing, as far as I know, to hide your IP.

However there's a FireFox extension called SwitchProxy that does: http://mozmonkey.com/switchproxy/
