Net Send DOS Help!

Ok so at my school the computers are Windows 2000 Professional. And they uses Novell (common). Anyways the cool thing at school right now is to send other people on computers messages using net send. (Example) While im on a computer a message will pop up saying "Turn off your computer now and kiss your butt!" or something stupid like that.

I've figured out how to do this its: net send CW-**0*6 "Your message here"

*Every computer has there own 4 digit number, and they are posted on top the computers monitor. You do not include the * when doing net send.

Ok so now I wanna do something cooler =) Something maybe like shutting down someones computer. Or anything that is cooler then the net send.

Also you can not get into DOS mode here at school, when I try go to run>cmd DOS will pop up and in it, it says The Admistrator has disabled this, press any key to exit. So the way we do net send at school is to make batch files.

Any help??

PS: I already tried shutdown CW-*048 -t *0 I made it as a .bat file, but it didnt work, DOS would open up for like 2 secs then close.. And it said somehting about it not being reconized as an internal or external command.

My school uses Novell too, so my guess is that you can not use remote shutdown. Other than that, your syntax is wrong. The command is "shutdown -i" for the gui interface. The dos command is "shutdown -m \\computername -s -t *0" without the quotes. The -t allows you to set the time, the -s or -r or -l is shutdown, restart, or logoff. The gui interface is probobly the easiest. Hope this helps

Long shot here but see if your can access your registry:

Paste this in notepad and save as a .reg

If you are able to add this reg value you will now be able to access cmd.exe and run batch scripts.

It sounds like you need step by steps so here goes.

*. Open notepad
2. If you cant find notepad hit one of the function keys to open a search window. On my XP its F*
*. Paste the script into notepad
4. When your saving the file click SAVE AS... then Select ALL FILES... Type WHATEVERYOUWANT.reg
5. Open the file and it will automatically go into the registry. It will ask you if you want to place it in the registry so just select OK.
6. You will be able to access both the command prompt and batch files

you can also "flood" someone's computer by entering:
net send CW-**0*6 "Your message here" into a notepad and saving it as a batch file. you select the file and then hold down enter which will send the message as many times as the computer can handle it.

I dont know about making you look cool and smart but you can sure drive some people crazy with some harmless pranks. Download psexec.exe and use it to remotely execute joke programs on the other puters.

Are you logged onto the LAN before you try executing the net send? Do you see the computers on the LAN when you type a Net view command? Im guessing the DNS server didnt not pick up the laptop and your trying to net send to a COMPUTERNAME instead of an IP. Just a flat out guess~ Make sure you messenger service is started by simply typing "Net start messenger"

Idiot. Nothing is impossible. ASM is a programming language, but NASM is a compiler. What are you doing, running an instance of "hello world" and expecting it to drop you in as root? I think you are royally BSing me. First things first, you need to know what Operating System that your school's server is using. Mine, for instance uses Windows 2000 Server. Some schools might use a distribution of Linux, or BSD, which are both UNIX based and considerably harder to crack into. I've also seen a school use Mac as a server platform. But onto greater things: If you're lucky and the school is running a Windows NT-based server, your job gets considerably easier. If your system administrator is incredibly stupid, like ours.. it gets even easier. Obtain a copy of the SAM file from that computer (this file is loaded into memory at startup, so you're not gonna easily just take a copy of it out of there with you) I know that a SAM file exists at %systemroot%\system*2\config. I know that there is a backup SAM somewhere, but i'm not sure where it is. (%systemroot%\repair, possibly?) You need to take this file home with you on disc and run a password cracker on it at home. (LC5 is a great example of which) This cracker will decode the password hashes generated by Windows into readable passwords. There you go.

I know more on the subject, but I think i've already wasted enough time on what I just said, so i'm leaving it at that.

Go to winternals and download a small program called PSSHUTDOWN. this will do the trick. And also if you start windows explorer and on the address bar type command you will get to a DOS prompt

With batch files, the user needs to open them and yes you can send one that will open, delete and basically jam the computer. I made programs that did this in Visual Basic and put them on the networked drive that everyone has access to. I then renamed them to stuff like Jezzball.exe and changed the icon to be the Jezz Ball icon. It was funny becasue I'd see people get pissed off and slam on the key***rd when they opened one.

Also I made a batch file that shuts down the local computer. That also was hilarious because there was no timeout and the compuetr's power just cut out.

For the Net Send command, if anybody cares still, type this into command propmtp before you use the net send command. "net start Messenger"

You need the messenger to be opened and operable on both the trasmitting and the recieveing computer for the command to work.

To get command prompt to work on your school computer, you need local admin privliges if the admin disabled it. The Admin really did a good job, but not good enough ;) , with the security on our network. To get the local privliges, if you are running on windows 2k, unplug the ethernet cable on a computer that you frequently use and log in. The computer will have your password hash already stored, so you will get access. If you plug the cable back in, you can then get internet and download and install Firefox or Opera to use instead of the heavily filtered and faulted IE. With the local admin privliges you can then run Commadn Prompt.

Ok im new at hacking and really want to learn, have tried to hack the schools PC but OMG THE ADMIN IS SO TIGHT. we are using XP with RM on it. unfortunatly i am unable to access dos or command prompt, the only thing available to me is notepad. i really want to be able to use netsend or even better, become an admin for a timed * hour and not have my ADMIN see it. he uses some kind of monitering program to ***** all the people who become admin and deletes there account after putting all there work on disk (as i said this admin is tight). i would be fine if i could just use Setsend thro notepad creating a .bat file but i dont know anything about programing, please someone give me the code (or even better mail me instructions on how to program in .bat format)

Heres an awesome batch file to send as a prank. It's a net send loop, so everytime they click OK another message comes up AGAIN!!! It's pretty awesome.

For those of you who are idiots, you can run any DOS command by just typing the commands in a text editor, saving the file as a .bat (batch file), and double clicking the file. Its that simple.

note: all the *'d commands are either windows version specific or they just don't work. And about half of these commands will give you a "program disabled by admin" (most of the obvious ones like the user groups and password ones but they're still good to know).

And for those of you who can't open .bat files (thought i heard something like that) you can build a primitive dos prompt in microsoft word. Just goto view->toolbars->control toolbox then make a button and a textbox. then double click on the button you made and put in this in between the "Private Sub CommandButton*_Click()" and the "End Sub":
Shell(TextBox*.text())

and there you go you have a really primitive disguised dos prompt, it won't accept any dos commands that aren't files (like rename or ren) and for some reason it refuses to open command.com . also you can change the button label by right clicking it and changing the caption (NOT the name).

And thats pretty much all you'll ever need to know about getting into the dos prompt. yeah. And most school admins don't like when you get into the command prompt or play games, so if you manage not to get banned/expelled/suspended congratulations!

note: all the *'d commands are either windows version specific or they just don't work. And about half of these commands will give you a "program disabled by admin" (most of the obvious ones like the user groups and password ones but they're still good to know).

And for those of you who can't open .bat files (thought i heard something like that) you can build a primitive dos prompt in microsoft word. Just goto view->toolbars->control toolbox then make a button and a textbox. then double click on the button you made and put in this in between the "Private Sub CommandButton*_Click()" and the "End Sub":
Shell(TextBox*.text())

and there you go you have a really primitive disguised dos prompt, it won't accept any dos commands that aren't files (like rename or ren) and for some reason it refuses to open command.com . also you can change the button label by right clicking it and changing the caption (NOT the name).

And thats pretty much all you'll ever need to know about getting into the dos prompt. yeah. And most school admins don't like when you get into the command prompt or play games, so if you manage not to get banned/expelled/suspended congratulations!
