Got IP address, now what?

I got the IP address I want to hack. I have been playing with my own IP in ms-dos mode to learn the commands. How do I play with there IP address though? Please email me with what I need to know. I have searched the forums and it seems that people cannot direclty tell others how to hack. So dont tell me to look through the forums for the answer. :) thanks ryno*7@hotmail.com

well I'm sorry if I dont know how. I know I dont know much about this stuff. Atleast I didnt ask how to get an IP address. I've been looking for an answer to my question for a long time. Now I'm at the point of just asking someone. I know there is way more to hacking than I will ever know. I just thought that screwing with someones IP address was one of the easier things to do. How else am I going to learn if no one is willing to teach me or give me advice?

First of all, if you get someone's IP, it may change in *-2 hours or less if it is dynamic (and most IPs of users are, unless it's a dedicated server, etc), so it won't do you much good. Second, what exactly do you want to "hack" on the remote computer? Telnet? HTTP Server? FTP? Do you want to ruin their network speed? You probably need a port scanner to see if the target has any open ports and take it from there.

If you want to do a Denial of Service (DoS attack) you need lots of people with high speed connection that will ping the computer, overload its network and force it into reboot (Ping of death).

And you probably want to use some linux distro for hacking, not M$-DOS. Try Whoppix - bootable free linux distribution. But I warn you - it will take you lots of time and Googling to learn how to use it, but after that you will have some basic hacking skills.

Well I wanted to be able to go through the information and folders they have on their computer, mainly the C drive. There IP address has been the same for days, it wont change, its a cable modem and its always connected. Even if it did change I would be able to get the new IP without a problem. So can anyone help me out?

I downloaded SuperScan 4.0, Seems like a user friendly program but now what do I want to do? Scan for open ports or something like that? I'm kinda lost right now.

Curious about this post. Always wondered what you could do with someone's IP address. Was just talking to someone the other day about whether or not you could gain access to their c: drive via IP address. Keep us posted on your progress. I have a few IP's I would like to gain access to their computers also.

Ok, peeps... if get someone's ip and port scan them to find that no useful ports are opend what do i do
and...
if i find a good port should telnet to it?
what should i do from then.....?

Would you exactly indicate what you want to do with your victim's computer? Do you want to get an access to it, view private information or what? If you find some ports opened and they are used by applications that contain vulnerabilities (bugs), then you are able to use some exploits in order to hack into this computer.

6*.*57.5*.20 Here is an IP address to practice on.. I'm not even going to attempt to hack someone but if yuo want a computer to play on that's it. The person wouldn't keep their mouth shut, even when asked nicely to do so.. I think they need to be shaken a little bit.. So if you want you can practice on that IP address.. I don't believe it changes.

screw with that guy. he will not shut up. its been months. half a year, at least.... practice there too... or just if u want to have fun... it hasnt changed since i got it, or at least the first * numbers havnt. Just screw around with his computer... is it possible to force the fan to turn off and overclock the processer at the same time? muahaha.... please do that or something.
