this largely depends on the type of virus that has entered the system. Some take effect immediately, others can hover around for a while looking for files to infest.

Hi KilieLaurissa, have you been able to detect which kind of virus that affected your computer? I would advise you scan your system regulary- AVG is the antivirus I use and it works really well for me too.
