Cd-key Cracking ...

I know that this forum is only discussing on Net tools. But i've some diffrent type of problem. I don't know where is the real place to ask. Mybe some of you can help me ....

Problem :

I've a onginal Windows XP professional cd (2002 vesion), but have no serial / cd-key.
Approximately 6 months ago I uninstalled my XP and installed *8.
And now I wanted to reinstall XP but I lost my cdkey. I tried to install it with many diffrent serials, but doesn't work.

I heard there is some way to get back the real cdkey from the installation Cd. How can I get my orginal CD-Key fom this CD?

Ring the number what it says for you to call for a serial number. I had the same problem.

The fact is my uncle baught it for me & he is not here right now. I called him but he already lost every information as he baught it 2002.

So, I affraid to call the microsoft if they missunderstand me.

Is there any other way to get the serial from that CD... ????

I feel if the version is original then when you boot your pc from the cd itself it won't ask for a cd key ! That is so simple

The true fact is it still ask for the CD key.
I formated my HDD & tried to boot it from CD.... no mater whats I do it ask for CD key ....

Anything else can I do ..!!! Please help

I feel if the version is original then when you boot your pc from the cd itself it won't ask for a cd key ! That is so simple
it still asks for a cd key, because the CD could be copied and unaltered, and there's no real way to tell the difference.

However be warned that Microsoft has probably blacklisted the above CD keys. You might not be able to download updates or pass a Windows Genuine Validation (http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/). This genuine advantage is only required when you want to install newer programs from Microsoft. Example: Internet Explorer 7.

There are many ways around this:
*) Revert to your genuine CD key once you have got in touch with your uncle.
2) Download a patch to trick the validation system.
*) Don’t worry too much about it. Unless you are installing a NEW Microsoft product you might never be required to verify the authenticity of your version of Windows.

For the first two cases, there are various programs available which do the trick. Feel free to request further assistance.:)

just borow it from one of ur friends if they have bought the cd then they should have the key i mean i dont think that u friend wont give u one. :D

I'm not going to advise you on how to illegaly install xp, but if your reason of losing your account was genuine, then you could easily download a windows keygen torrent from that will allow it to install, but any keys you get from it will not get past the online checks needed for updating and stuff, so you will never have a "full" version with a cd key thats not what you had to pay for.

I was saying that you could download a keygen, generate a key for xp, then install it with that key, but keys generated by keygens will not be able to be used if you activate online, download updates, or do anything online, because most generated keys are only designed to get past the activation on your local machine, and they only have access to the xp cd, not whatever checks the key online, so they can only make a keygen to get past the activatioon on your computer.

I have a genuine copy of Windows XP Home but the product code was cracked and according to MS is being used by others. How do I convince MS that I have a genuine code or how do you fix this problem??????

why dont you call MS and tell them you've lost the key since you reformatted?
Its even an option on the registration screen.
Ive gotten several serials like that.

Best bet is to contact MS for a new key, I believe upgrade keys are cheaper then regular bought keys.

As Mike*0* mentioned, I don't want to explain how to do something ilegal but there is another way. Just as there are specialized XP CDs for companies such as Dell, Compaq, Gateway and any other Company you can think of where you can use the same CD over and over again just as long it's being used for the specific computer you bought from whatever brand. there are specialized CDs out there you can use where keys are available for use on multiple computers (i.e Major corporations), I know someone who is a tech for a big company and uses one CD, one Key, and uses it at his company when needed.

You could block windows genuine advantage from accessing the internet from your firewall, or...

Download the XP Pro student release from bittorrent. This version can be installed multiple times on the same cd key. You may be against piracy, but when you actually own a copy of XP I don't see the problem. Here's one torrent:
