When surphing the net under a proxie just what does your ISP see???

Sigh... Another unanswered post. The privacy/security gurus must be on vacation.:)

If connection to Web sites through proxy is not encrypted SSL (https) ISP can sniff (eavesdrop) on your traffic, reconstruct visited Web pages, capture cleartext passwords, etc..
If one uses proxy that encrypts all traffic, e.g. safeweb https://www.safeweb.com/ ISP can "see" only proxy IP.
