Proxy HELP

Someone told me that I could use a proxy and no matter where i connected my true ip couldent be found out? is that true?
how do i put a proxy into my windows xp machine?

i play games onn the net, ghost recon. i want to be able to play and not have anyone know who i am

Depends if you use an anonymous proxy or not. Some proxies truly will not pass along your IP.

BTW your ISP _always_ knows where you go, even with an anonymous proxy. But they're probably not paying attention (or are they?:-)
