Proxys on Yahoo, Excite, etc.

I can no longer log on to the three major pop mail servers while using a proxy server. I get a "connection refused" message. I have tried many different proxys with and without Proxomitron.
This just started happening a few days ago. Anyone else notice this?

I had no problem checking my Yahoo and Hotmail accounts just now using my socks proxy. Hotmail requires javascript, Yahoo doesn't.

I'm dropping Hotmail for that reason btw.

My access was denied all last weekend, using a number of different proxys, including socks. Since then, all has been back to normal.
