Who and what kind of web******s log mac addresses?

Say if I register on a forum or site how many of them are gonna log my mac addy along with my IP

If they do configure their server to log mac addresses, mine will be ****ble to any administrator right?

if they are botherring to monitor them, then yes, and even as well block them. FYI, it isnt your modem MAC they are seeing, its your NIC public MAC ID, unless you have a router, then a host cannot see any deeper than the router. do a search on "spoofing your mac adddress" if you want to make it report an ID other than its real one.

Yeah I knew the MAC id is unique to the NIC itself but I never knew that a router or other networking equipment effectively blocked anyone outside from seeing it. Helpful to know.

Cheers for the info

can be logged with a simple script such a statcounter.com with out you knowing it... if you look at the page source you may see it (too late then tho lol)
