Hi everyone! I am new to the forums. I am looking for an "easy-to-use" password cracker to get on to a friend's MySpace account. He is spreading viscious lies and rumors about me. He has now made his profile "private" where I cannot see what anyone is posting on his page. He also removed me as a friend so I cannot see any of his bulletins/blogs. I KNOW his email address he logs in with. Can I sign on to his account with my computer pretending to be him? Can I use my OWN computer and his login to crack the password on his account or do I have to remotely access his? ALso, is there anything out there that is free or reasonably priced that will allow me to do this from my own computer in a relatively safe and expeditious manner? Will he have ANY knowledge that I have hacked into his account? I also need a program that will not take up a large amount of diskspace. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Any hackers out there tonight that might be bored and wanna help me out, please hit me up!

Hi everyone! I am new to the forums. I am looking for an "easy-to-use" password cracker to get on to a friend's MySpace account.

It amazes me that people think it's that easy to break into online accounts. The idea that one user-friendly colorful program exists to break into any account is ridiculous. If it was that easy, every myspace using idiot would be doing it.

That was RUDE! I came here to ask a question and it did not warrant a response like that. *I* do not know anything about password crackers and from what I have read, it is NOT that difficult to get into MySpace. I could be wrong, though. I just asked for some help based on some things I have read on online forums. Maybe the accounts can be hacked into and maybe it is not easy. I am just a casual computer user and I don't really know.

Well, look- even if we did tell you, you wouldn't know how to do it, or anything else. Its not smart to run and jump if you cant see the bottom.
Forget about hacking, you cant do it.

No, you straight up asked for a user friendly program to hack into myspace:

I am looking for an "easy-to-use" password cracker to get on to a friend's MySpace account.

I'm sure you would rather we get to the point and tell you it's not that simple (even while being slightly rude) instead of dancing around the facts and breaking it to you slowly.

it is NOT that difficult to get into MySpace.

Sure, from what i've heard myspace has so many holes, it's like this (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/*/*0/Cheese_Grater.JPG/*80px-Cheese_Grater.JPG) as a web application. But it's not something a 'casual user' can accomplish with a point 'n click program.

So, you're saying for me not to even bother because I couldn't do it? I have no intention of becoming a "hacker." I'm a nurse by trade. I just asked a question and hoped to get some advice or help. If anyone is willing to help me, please let me know. Thanks again!

Oh, and Mike....you have over seven hundred posts. Do you have a life outside of the Internet? *wink*

P.S. Loved the pic of the grater...LOL I DO know how to use one of those!

Er, computercuite, I'm gonna try to be as helpful as I can.

*) Do you have the password hash (encrypted version of the password)? If you do, download a program called Cain, it can crack many hashes. If you have a hash, it's probably MD5, because many sites use that.

2) If you don't, I don't think there's much chance. But if MySpace gives you unlimited chances to try logging in, then use a bruteforcer (a program that tries to guess every possible combonation of letters, numbers, and symbols) I don't know any good ones. I also don't have too much experience with MySpace, so I don't know how many login tries you get.

Um, well computercutie, I think you should explore the hacking field a bit more. It's very fun and rewarding, and with dedication, persistence, and a creative mind, you could be the next Kevin Mitnick.:D

I wasn't trying to use it as an excuse for anything. I don't spend much time online except for some web browsing, email and chatting. I KNOW NOTHING about hacking and really have no desire to take the time to learn it. I asked a simple question or at least what I thought was one...my mistake! You're probably some young "candy-assed know-it-all" that sits at a computer for hours looking at porn because you can't get a real live date. I've been a nurse for almost ** years *a damn good one*...it has nothing to do with my level of intelligence...however, I am sure mine is much greater than yours as a whole. Let's hope that you aren't as RUDE to your patients/clients as you were to me when they ask a question about something they are not well-informed about.

Hello Moonbat. I'm not sure if MySpace uses encrypted passwords or not. They do allow multiple login attempts, though. I have read a little about the brute force programs, but I don't know how easy they are to use. Thank YOU for your assistance!

Halla

the rudeness you speak of come from countless people asking the same thing over and over again... your question being one of them.

myspace DOES have bruteforce protection. They may allow mutliple login attempts (around *0 or so) but then you'll notice the visual confirmation field come into play....

Verification : Please enter the text from the image above:

which is there solely to stop an automated program, particularly a bruteforce program from working effectively. If you dont enter the correct string given in the visual confirmation, at that point you can put in the correct username and password and it will not allow a login without the proper string in the proper field as well. Its a simple CAPTCHA method (google it if you want)

While we're on the subject, bruteforcing is the noisiest way to gain access to something (even if there werent any security measures in place, and in this case there are) thus, you can and often will be caught, or at least the activity noticed and acted upon.

500,000 failed login attempts tend to raise some eyebrows.

As Im sure you know, theres more than one way to skin a cat. Depending on your particular situation, how far you want to go and your level of craftiness you may have an abundance of other methods of revenge available to you.

Who cares what yet another dumb fuck is writing about on myspace?
Go throw a rock through his window or place a homosexual personal ad or sell his car for him in the local paper, complain to myspace and have them axe his account or something or sign his email account up to all the spam you can find, and that failing just post his email EVERYWHERE on forums like these and someone is bound to screw/w it or some spam bot will pick it up in a crawl if you cant let it go and it'll make you feel better.

Old school still reigns supreme.

computercutie
11-03-2006, 10:16 AM
Well, I apologize. I am brand new to these fora and I did not do a search to see if this particular topic had been discussed before.

I certainly don't want to do anything that is going to "come back" on me or get me into trouble. This is NOT about revenge. I just wanted to see what is being said about me in his private email there. I don't think that he is saying anything publicly about me, so I can't complain to MySpace. If I did make any sort of complaint, I would have to have some sort of evidence to back it up. I deleted myself from his page...he would have done it eventually and now he has made his profile private so I cannot see if anything is being said on it. He's not a "dumb fuck" by any stretch of the imagination neither am I.

I have no intention of doing anything harmful to him although the spam, etc. might be a bit of an inconvenience...LOL Also, I happen to know he does not have virus protection, etc. on his computer and what a shame it would be for him to get one! He's not going to open any attachments from me or anyone else he does not know, though. How would I go about finding sites like that to sign him up for spam? I LOVE the homosexual ad idea...however, he would KNOW who placed it unfortunately. I have to do something that cannot be directly traced back to me. Thanks for any advice!

The more I think about it, I do like the spam idea. I did a search online and didn't really find much. Plus, I had to go to several sites and enter his email individually. Very time consuming! Is there any way to sign him up so that he will receive a continuous stream of spam emails on a daily basis? He has AOL, so I know they have spam filters. What's the best way around it? Also, I know there is a "do-not-call" list for telemarketers....is there one to actually sign someone up so they will receive calls FROM them? *grin*

If that was supposed to offend me, it didn't.

Bringing out the standard "oh my god you have no life I win" argument isn't going to help your case. And since when were we turning this into a petty argument?

I wasn't trying to use it as an excuse for anything. I don't spend much time online except for some web browsing, email and chatting. That's real life date, in English. What were you saying about intelligence...?

Let's hope that you aren't as RUDE to your patients/clients as you were to me when they ask a question about something they are not well-informed about.

Believe it or not, hacking/programming requires a level of intelligence much greater than most jobs or tasks in life. Hackers and programmers are the intelligent people.

BUT, the argument stops here.

The more I think about it, I do like the spam idea. I did a search online and didn't really find much. Plus, I had to go to several sites and enter his email individually. Very time consuming! Try www.listopt.com - it allows signing up to multiple 'mailing' (read: spam) lists. But, I think it requires confirmation on the recipient's end...

It would be easy to write a program to send a load of spam to an email address.

No, I wanted to use the word "live" in the context as I used it. I meant that in the context that a COMPUTER is not a "live" object...it's inanimate. I didn't want to use the word "life"...although, I meant to imply if you had a REAL LIFE? Perhaps your "superior" intelligence missed that.

Ummmm...not really interested in learning any programming. I don't disagree that IT/computer people are intelligent. Apparently, they think they are smarter than everyone else is, or at least some of them do.

I guess I will have to inconvenience myself and just sign him up for some spam by going to individual sites. I still think the telemarketing idea is brilliant...wish I could give out his cell number...what a pain in the butt that would be for him! LOL

heres an easy way to get alot of mails to him that he may be able to block but should find incredibly infuriating at least for a while:

go to a public terminal with internet access, say a library or something. Go to ********** and create a new email, and when it asks for a secondary email address, enter his.

done?

now go to yahoo alerts, I believe its alerts.********** though yahoo has recently changed its structure around, so maybe do a quick search for it.

found it? nice.

Now go to auction keyword alerts.
start setting alerts to keywords that will come up alot, for example:

keyword: ship
keyword: buy
keyword: new
keyword: used
keyword: my
keyword: this

you get the idea. The more the merrier.
Make sure you set them to 'immediate delivery. You'll notice Yahoo warns that this may cause a problematic amount of emails, which is kind of the whole point.
At this point yahoo will start sending alerts to the secondary email address on the account (his) and thats a start. Ive done 25 keywords and had an account receive 80+ mails a minutes.

Another idea is to just type out his email account on any site/forum you can. Simply posting whatever@aol.com will result in spam spiders picking up the address and doing the spam work for you.

As far as the phone is concerned...If you know his cell phone number you can get REALLY nasty. I cite the following as a good example:

*ahem. excuse me.

Back to the myspace thing...
pardon the 'stupid fuck' comment, I say that because.. well lets face it, myspace is full of stupid fucks. It was a generalization that may not apply to whom we're talking about, but anyway... moving on...

If his account is on private, I wouldnt worry too much about him trash talking you being that the general public cant see it anyway, so its the equivalent of him emailing buddies to talk smack about who/whatever. If its publicly viewable, thats a whole other story.

I dont know if Ive helped, gone too far or havent gone far enough.
That being said Im done typing for now.

Wow...apparently, there is ALOT Of hostility on these fora. It's apparently not just directed towards women. It's directed to anyone that you deem STUPID because they asked a redundant question. Excuse me if I didn't do a search and/or read all of them before I asked my question. I must say that I had been on other Internet forums and have never seen quite a group like you have here. You "IT types" apparently stick up for one another. By mentioning that I was nurse was just an attempt to tell you that is my area of expertise NOT computers. I have no desire to learn to hack or write programs...I will say that again.

I read some replies to someone else who asked the same question as I after I got those rude responses. Perhaps Mike is a moderator...I don't know. I figured he would have that title under his name. I'm sorry if my comments were rude, but I do believe the rudeness was initiated by him and I just returned it. You would think that someone would be a bit nicer and a bit more patient than some of you have been. Actually, I guess I was treated "well" in comparison to the person on the next thread who asked the exact same question! He got reamed!

Hmmmmm Truck*n.....number of girlfriends is indicative of nothing. It's how you treated them, etc. By the way, one has to wonder WHY someone has had at least *5 of them? That's something to ponder on. I also never said I didn't "give a f*ck" about computers. They are an integral part of the world today. I use them at home AND at work. We are even using them now to scan patient medications for administration as well as doing our charting.

One question though. I know that even using a public terminal, an IP address will be logged and I bet that is traceable. He says he has friends that are hackers as well and if they can trace that back to my city or state, I am going to get in trouble. He could probably use that to file some sort complaint of Internet harassment against me. I don't need that. Thanks for any advice!

Also, is there any way for me to protect my own personal computer from such a spam attack? I am sure he is going to realize that I did it and want to retaliate. How can I protect MYSELF?

Ususally emails have an option to blcok any mails not from contacts, maybe try that.

Well, what you could do to spam 'im is just post his email anywhere you can. There are hundereds of people who harvest emails, and his will definetly get picked up....like mine *sniff*....:(

computercutie, I'm guessing you've never had much experience with hacking forums. Knowledgeble people get really angry. People think this whole business involves a few keypresses, a program or two. It's very complicated, and even the best have to get better. Hackers don't like someone wasting their time posting stupid things, like a hacking request, or a request for a password. It's really annoying, and I try my best to help, but usually it ends up them asking question after question, wanting someone to spoon-feed them step by step information.

Halla
11-03-2006, 09:16 PM
can't the IP address be traced to the location/address of the computer I am using?Yep, but heres the glory of it all...
The IPs in the email headers will be from yahoos servers since they are sending the messages, not you. good luck getting them to give any info without a warrant. In fact, good luck getting a warrant for something like that, period.
"hello? ***? someones spamming my email!"
Better luck getting the IP logs of that mail access at that time, and then even better luck trying to get the library ISP to give out the info, then hope the library has a record of who was sitting where, and when.
Its a pretty serious pain in the ass, and I doubt it'll go that far. Plus if the library doesnt keep a record or you just walk in and sit down for a minute, its useless anyway.

If you're seriously paranoid, use a laptop and a wireless card, spoof your mac address and use an insecure wireless connection and you're golden. Thats another story.

but I digress....

The person I am trying to send the spam to knows me well and knows where I live.
Lucky for you, the person doesnt know you did this. Play dumb. It works.

Also, is there any way for me to protect my own personal computer from such a spam attack? I am sure he is going to realize that I did it and want to retaliate. How can I protect MYSELF?
I doubt they will realize its you, but anyway yes, its called a spam filter. There may be a built-in one depending on your service.

He says he has friends that are hackersOh noes! :p I wouldnt worry about it too much.
Lets put it this way, if you were connected to the mafia, would you run around saying you're connected to the mob?

Honestly, why do you want to get this person so bad? If you dislike them so much, why not just ignore them? Seems like a childish attempt at pity revenge.

But seeming as if I say something even remotely hostile I'll sure hear about it I suppose I may as well write something useful.

If you attempt these "attacks" from a public computer he will not be able to trace it back to you, that's like someone trying to justify getting a virus because a site put a cookie on their computer, oh no!

What is more likely to happen is that they'll realise that you're the only one out to get them so badly and put the blame on you that way, almost impossible to get around unless you play a "cold revenge" tactic in which you get them back in 6 months time.

As far as abuse online, unless it was causing malicious harm to a real person or completely frying their computer, which it isn't if you're unsure, there's nothing the law will do to yo.

And the reason people were getting stuck into you earlier in this forum is because asking a question like that is the equivilant of a grown adult walking up to you and asking "What do I do about getting my own hospital room with gold plating everywhere for nothing?"... seems understandably obvious how outrageous such a question is... now add some people who are sitting in front of a screen with too much sugar in their bloodstream, bad mix.

You would think that someone would be a bit nicer and a bit more patient than some of you have been. Actually, I guess I was treated "well" in comparison to the person on the next thread who asked the exact same question! He got reamed!

It's not intentional rudeness, it's just that we don't expect to answer a question one day then the next day the same question to pop up again with the answer stated directly below it. If we kept answering the same questions, we'd be here all day.

I realize that *I* cannot be traced...but, can't the IP address be traced to the location/address of the computer I am using? The person I am trying to send the spam to knows me well and knows where I live. Thanks!

If the 'public terminal' is on a regular ISP line (a home connection), it will trace back to that ISP's central offices. If the place actually leases the line out directly, it will trace back to their location. But that's only if your IP address gets sent in the email - it does if you send it through most webmail services (such as hotmail, under X-Originating-IP), but not if you directly connect to the smtp server and choose your own headers.

Also, is there any way for me to protect my own personal computer from such a spam attack? I am sure he is going to realize that I did it and want to retaliate. How can I protect MYSELF?

There's ways to protect against predictable spam (such as nigerian 4** scams and 'buy this product' spam), but if someone just sends random data to you to cripple the account there is nothing you can do, apart from blocking all email.

Look computercutie the easiest way i can tell you would be if you already know his or hers login email, try to crack that password, such as a yahoo email is easy to crack aol names are pretty easy to crack as well. Once you get the email password then just simply hit lost password on myspace type the email address in and then it will be sent to that address, all you have to do is go check the email and your done. Maybe that will help you:D

Sorry that you had such a rough time in the forums. Asking for myspace passwords is a common request and invariably met with an unkind response. People don't like giving out trade secrets, I guess.

For someone in your situation, you have a few options:
*) if you have access to the other person's computer, you can install a keylogger. Even if you don't have access you could send one wrapped in a trojan program as an email attachment (there is always a way to get someone to open a suspicious file; never underestimate the power of social engineering). There are many keyloggers to choose from on the web, but finding one that won't be picked up by the Anti-Virus software will be hard.

2) brute force/hybrid attack. There are programs you can download or write that will constantly try different passwords until finding one that works. This could take a long time; on a site such as myspace, weeks possibly. Plus, you will need a way to get around the CAPTCHAs. And eventually, your program will start to look like a DOS attack on myspace's servers, the administrators of which will then call your ISP and have your internet turned off.

*) However, you know your adversary; might as well try to guess what the password is. If it doesn't work, that only took ten or fifteen minutes.

4) If you have physical access to this person's network (wireless or LAN) there are several programs you can use as packet sniffers to intercept the password. I personally like this method a lot, but it probably doesn't help you that much.

5) The "Professional" Method. Ok... this is a little tricky. People who hack myspace pages for a living use a phishing approach. It requires a shockwave file (which I do have a copy of, if you decide to do this), and a working web server. You embed this shockwave (FLA) file in a myspace page that you have access to—your own would work—and any one who visits it will be prompted with a fake login page, which is actually being sent from your server. This is a risky move, because that server will in some way trace back to you, whether you hired it from someone or if it is one you own. Plus, there is no guaranteed way to know that your target will fall for the fake page. There are ways to get around all of these problems, but it might be beyond the scope of what you are looking for. Still, this is the most popular and efficient method for mass password stealing, and myspace has certain "features" which make it very easy to pass off.

Again, don't let the rudeness get to you. And to clarify what was said in the forums: myspace passwords have nothing to do with hashes, and the program know as Cain would be completely useless. Except for the #5 and #2, retailiation by myspace.com is never going to happen. Even if they catch you doing something, the worst they will do is report it to your ISP. And retailiation from this guy's "hacker" friends is just as unlikely. Most of these methods can be made completely untraceable from a user's view. If they knew your IP address from some other means (anonymous LiveJournal posts display IPs, for example), then they might be able to pull something off, but the worst you could expect is that they might try to hack into your myspace account in return.

Sorry again about your myspace enemy. I know how that is. Please let me know if/when you get this message, or if you need help with anything else.

You know, I have a much more simple solution to your problem: learn to ignore what other people say behind your back. If your friends aren't fake and care about you they'd tell you what's being said. Who cares if your enemies talk behind your back with eachother? WHY do you need to follow that childish instinct to know?

Besides, hanging out with superficial friends who talk behind your back is top priority. Knowing how to screw your enemies up makes you a geek, don't do it. Just keep searching for that visual basic program you want, you'll find it some day.

Well it was about time someone answered something based more on the problem and not so much on the solution she wanted that was impossilbe (simple hacking tool).

Computercutie if you really just want to see what he wrote about you... Why not ask some* to tell you what it says? A person you know that is on his friends that can send you what he wrote about you, or just try a hot friend of yours to send him a friend request with a sexy pic he will probably accepts and then you can see the page with your friend help.

Good Luck. (had lot of fun reading this thread :D)
