We want to transition users from desktops to remote machine (or between systems) without requiring them to re-enter credential, is there a way to centralize authentication for UNIX, Linux and Mac environments?

What you're looking for is called 'single sign on' or 'federated identity management'. Googling those terms will bring back plenty of options.
