I believe it's not possible. Less 500 maybe, but not 50s or 60s. Verified badge is for public figures, celebrities and brands, meaning it's only for those accounts that have a high likelihood of being impersonated.

Since there are many celebrities who can have multiple fan pages or a website which represents something or a support group, in these cases there is a chance of creation of multiple accounts. Only then it is possible to get your instagram account verified.
