AFAIK you can't if it's a good firewall.
Surely you wouldn't want to ping scan IP ranges would you?
HI,
Its the firewall thats blocking ur ping request.
If u r the sys admin in the company u can enable ping requests.
There is no other way i know of.
If the computer is asked not to reply to a ping reply from outside, there is no way i know u can ping from outside.
The same goes for our college. It cant be pinged from outside.

If your purpose is to check the availability of your company's computer, and you know it in advance that it's behind a firewall blocking ICMP & IGMP then you will be waisting your time waiting for the echo reply of your ping.
You can check simply and quickly the availability of your company's server by scanning an evntual open port than you already know, like for instance port 25 or **0 if you have an email server, or port 80 if you are running an HTTP server, they might also be running an ftp on port 2* or telnet on port 2* etc..
So why don't you scan the following ports
2*, 2*, 25, 80, **0, *4*, and obviously **5, ***
if you have any answer, then the server is available.
There should be at least one port open to the outside world.
hi,
Oh,i was considering a proxy acting as a fire wall.
