I just had something crazy happen while in a MSN chat with a buddy. We were talking about PLC's (Programmable Logic Controller) and connecting them to our network so we can access them from home. I was giving him a static IP range he could use from our network, and he replied saying he was going to use the IP **2.*68.*.50., and he typed that ip in the chat window, but in my window it showed a 24.X.X.X ip address. Then I was saying, you can't use that address...and it went on and on until we copied and paste to a notepad what each was typing and send as a file. He was typing the number **2.*68.*.50, but I wasn't getting that number through msn chat.
Now this is crazy to me and the *st time I've ran across this, so does anyone have any idea what was going on, or even who I could ask?
Thank You
