Private proxies

I need a private proxy with a password for mIRC. Just to hide my actualIP when I get whois'd. For some reason public proxies are not working. Any help would be great.

I do not know about any private proxy for IRC but you can always get list of SSL working proxy (proxy that support connect method) on proxy sites.
Of you can collect a lot proxies and then simple run proxies through one of many IRC proxy checkers to find out which one is working.
