This is a great video tutorial on how to use your computer as a free webserver, as opposed to paying monthly fees for a web host.

Thank you for posting a video on a useful topic. The only ones anyone seems to watch are on silly google hacking topics and such. Oh well. It pays for Information Leaks hardware demands via ad clicks. :)
Also, if anyone has any problems or questions relating to that tutorial setting up, securing or administrating apache le me know. Im happy to help out.
Thanks for the props Moonbat.

Not really. As long as you follow the instructions, you should be safe.

Although exposing any server program on your computer to the Internet puts you at higher risk to attacks than someone with no ports forwarded in their router's settings, software like Apache rarely has any vulnerabilities if you keep it up-to-date. There's always the possibilities of vulnerabilities in your own web scripts or misconfiguration, as long as you know what you're doing and follow instructions (like Moonbat said), you'll probably be safe.
