Is avast any good, does anyone know any better ones, if you do please tell me.

Avast is alright. It doesn't scan packed files. There's Avg, Kaspersky, bitdefender,Panda,norton, McAfee,NOD*2, and some that I forgot. But when tested kaspersky is the best. I would try zonealarms firewall also. I use Avast with another antivirus. But I've heard some bad things about bitdefender. Try them and see for yourself.

Which ones do you s***est m8, cause im having problems with avast at the moment quite alot actully and i was wondering if you could recommond me a better one oh btw is Norton free?

I'm just guessing, but after you do a full scan you get a long list of files that it can't scan, I mean they come up as pasword protected. I got both,the free and the paid for, and they both have the same problem. I would try
Kaspersky. I just downloaded it earlier this month and it works good. I think
it's Kaspersky v*0. I'm not sure if norton's got a free one. Avg is also good.
Everybody has one that they think is the best. It's best if you decide which one works for you. If ***** is a problem, PM me and tell me the one you want. But anyways I would try Kas. Kas and zonealrams firewall is a good
combination.

I would recommend you F-secure that use triple engines scanning system (including kaspersky virus signature).
It is really one of the best AV that by different AV independent test come by first 5 with detection rate above *8%

No problem, The other one in the 6/27/08 folder is just for the Kas antivirus.
it's good till */*0/*0. I changed to just the antivirus.
