can anyone tell me how to do it? (i use wireless internet: a linksys router and networker adapter)

You could change ISPs...

Or, if you only want to change your IP address for a small amount of time (e.g. to access a website you're banned from), use a proxy server..

The most simple way to do this is use a webproxy such as http://www.hidemyass.com

You can also google for proxy lists (http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=proxy+lists&btnG=Google+Search&meta=) and then configure your browser/irc client/whatever to use that proxy..

hi so does that mean if you send a email to watever and then reset your modem and then send another email to watever will the i be differnt ?

Damn! I thought that was a joke. There's actually a web service called Hidemyass, lol. I might start my own web service for people who want to quit their job called kissmyass.com.

You can change your ip address by using proxy. Before and after changing it check your ip address. To check the ip address open the run command in your system and enter as cmd then type as ipconfig in the command prompt or check your ip address in the site http://www.ip-details.com/ .
