A critical flaw in ActiveX in IE can easily allow hackers to access your windows machine. Update it ASAP by running the registry file:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ActiveX Compatibility\{20*EA564-A6F6-**D*-8**D-00C04FB6BD*6}]
"Compatibility Flags"=dword:00000400
Without the updated value you can be hacked by simply reading an email or visiting a webpage. More information can be found at www.kb.cert.org (http://www.kb.cert.org/vuls/id/46660*)
