Help, Im trying to get MSN messenger working over my work network but can't. I put in the proxy address that I have which is web-proxy.intra.thegrid.org.uk and the port 8080 but it doesnt work, help!!
We get our Internet from the GRID and they act as a proxy I think, there is no SOCKS versions being used either

If the sysadmin at your workplace is worth having on the payroll he has probably blocked all unnecessary ports at the firewall.
