Hello everyone. I would like to know what is the best or a good anti virus/ fire wall program. I am an idiot and I got a virus and now none of my anti-virus programs are working. I would appreciate any help.

Back in my Windows days, I used Antivir and Zonealarm. Both are free (well, the basic versions).

some malware disables virus scanners. Try booting in safe mode with networking, then updating and running your virus scanner. Google for how to boot in safemode.

I had to erase everything on my computer and reinstall windows. Something deleted my operating system. Right now I use the full version of Zone Alarm Suite 7. Is that good?
