ok so I have, and run PeerGuardian most of the time, the only time I disable it is to play WOW (Blizz doesnt like it... idk)

But my question is, does it really work? I mean the way I understand is that it blocks you IP... so ppl cant see it?

Forgive me for being a noob

it doesnt block your IP IIRC, it blocks known malicious IP's from your computer. (schools, government, etc.) I use it for p2p and torrents, and never had a problem with it...but i dont play online games really, so IDK. If the server your connecting to on WOW is hosted on a school network, and its listed as a blocked IP, that might be your problem.

Yeah, whiterabbit explained it well. It blocks access to a list of IP addresses that could possibly be interested in busting you for piracy.
