Hello
I got this link from a friend but sorry, Im still lost.
I have just done a website for a charity and put a guestbook. Someone has taken exception to me and is posting horrible messages. Their ip is disguised as bouncer.nics.gov.uk
can anyone help me how to find out who this is?
Im getting spooked now as they seem to know all about me and I have ruled several people out.
Many thanks
S.

How much personal information do you list on your site?
Do you have your own domain? If that's the case you most likely gave your personal information when you registered it.
HI,
One other thing you can do is simply remove the guest book,if it is simply a guest book.
Once you do that and you had not put ur personal information when u registered/made ur web site, including e-mail id,it should stop.

DATA has given you a correct solution, Unregistered is right in what he said about your personal info collected from your domain name (in case you have one)
In the mean time, the Address bouncer.nics.gov.uk
is part of this IP range
*45.22*.0.0 - *45.22*.255.255
Northern Ireland Civil Service
Belfast
Clifford Kitson

So, why don't you take direct contact with them, I am sure they will help, Irrelevant whether they act as a proxy or as a direct ISP (which I beleive they are)

There is no personal information posted about me on the site and the email link isnt addressed to me so Im baffled.
The registered details are to the Charity and a different name used altogether so to my mind this is something personal.
I have contacted the IT supervisor who is taking the matter seriously thank goodness and he is trying to ***** down the cause. In one day this person accessed the site *2 times, once 4 times in an hour, the next day ** times. It is obvious that this person is posting a message and then going back to check and see what Ive done with it.
I'll keep you posted, many thanks for the help.

Is there a way to resolve this address?
The %^%&^&* is now abusing from home as well.
host2**-*-*07-*5.in-addr.btopenworld.com
This would provide a cross reference for the supervisor. Any more and the guestbook bites the dust! The owner of the site wants this to be a last resort though as it is a really good way of keeping members in touch.

HI,
host2**-*-*07-*5.in-addr.btopenworld.com
