This may sound dumb, but can my ISP ***** the web sites I'm going to using an anonymous proxy or is that the main reason for using them? I mainly use a proxy to keep my IP address from being logged at sites I visit. Thanks

yes,ISP can always do that because you connect through the isp to reach the anonymous proxy.Encryption can be used to prevent this.

I dunno-sorry.Most DNS servers simply support resolving host name to ip address.
