hi,
A friend showed me a utility called gatekeeper, ver *.0. It claimed that it could secure a windows folder-all you have to do is to provide a password for securing a folder,i.e no one can view the contents of the folder. You have to provide the same passwd in the program ,inorder to view the contents of the folder that was *******.
I looked at the equlivalent dos filename and all they had done is
ren folder_name folder_name+alt 255 ,alt+255 giving the blank charecter. It never uses the password which is being taken from the user to secure the folder. Its been cheating on the user and a registered version is for *0 USD :)
Regards Data.
