There is probably not much you can do besides spend more ***** with your isp and ugrade your service. Check your upload speed with your isp's claims, if there is a big difference tell them to look into it.

For a faster service you will need to upgrade your service with your ISP. Just remember that speed isn't everything - you may get 20Mbps, for example, but if your ISPs network isn't well laid out, your ping will still be high.

You have to change you monthly plan, according to me through dial-up connection we don't get high internet speed. so it would be better if you use broadband.

Step *Check with your Internet service provider about Internet connection options. The speed of your Internet connection is the most significant variable to your download speed. If you have dial-up Internet access, consider upgrading to a Direct Service Line (DSL) or a cable connection. Even if you already have cable, your Internet service provider may have faster cable services available.

Step 2Understand a fast connection. Connection speed is measured by the amount of data that can be transferred per second, usually kilobits per second (Kbps) or megabits per second (Mbps). There are *024 kilobits in one megabit. Most dial-up connections are 56 Kbps, while cable can be as fast as 20 Mbps. When you contact your Internet service provider, they should be able to tell you the speed of their connections.

I can't believe there are people who still use dial-up. Few days ago i used the internet from my phone in a bad signal area. I had 5-*0KB/s and i hardly opened pages. I can't remember how it was years ago when i had *-2KB/s on dial-up.

Before paying your ISP more ***** and upgrading your service, get them to do a quick check on your system. They are often happy to check for problems that might be slowing you down and s***est a fix. If all else fails, upgrade :)

I too am wondering the ways and means of increasing up the internet speed. Earlier, few years back I had Pentium 2 processor and it did not support my internet speed effectively. Now I am having a Pentium 4 processor and having a pretty good internet speed. My internet connection is an ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) Dial Up one.
For my laptop I am using a mobile broad band dongle to have internet connection.
