I use a workstation in a business network. The administrator has set my PC to surf in internet through a local proxy server on port 8080.
I have tried to disable "using proxy" in IE and in this way i can't go in internet. If I change the proxy, but always using a port not equal to 80, in IE (using a working one that I found in internet) then I can surf. What does it mean? is there a firewall that block only TCP packets on port 80?
Thanks for the help.
