A drug survey
Yeah that's right, it's time to talk about drugs. The recent Saudi thread, and the talk of prohibition, gave me the idea to find out more about people.
It's survey time. Be honest.
One last thing before we begin -- caffeine, nicotine and alcohol are drugs, just like LSD, cocaine and heroin (AKA diacetylmorphine) are drugs. They all alter your brain and/or body, and there are certain legal and certain illegal drugs that are addictive.
As well as that, tobacco and alcohol are more harmful than most recreational (and illegal) drugs used in moderation.
Get ready...
(Note: bi-weekly means "every two weeks", since the 'bi' prefix means two. Bi-monthly is every two months.)
*a. How regularly do you drink caffeinated beverages? That includes Coke (the drink...), coffee, energy drinks (Red Bull), and anything else containing caffeine.

Every day
Every two days
Weekly
Bi-weekly
Monthly
Bi-monthly
Yearly
Never
*b. If you answered anything other than "never" to the above, how high would you guesstimate the caffeine content of your drinks are?
(Life tip: never drink four high-caffeine coffees in succession. Take that from experience. Caffeine is a shitty high.)

Very high
High
Medium
Low
Very low
*c. If you answered anything upwards of 'medium' to *a, how do you feel when you don't take caffeine for a day?

Tired with an inability to sleep, extreme anger, anxiety, pounding headache, racing heart, unable to cope with daily life in a twitchy, anxious, horrible state
Tired, angry and nervous, with a headache and trouble sleeping
Somewhat tired and irritable
A little slower in the morning
Absolutely fine
2a. How regularly do you drink alcoholic beverages? That's everything from Budweiser to Vodka to pure drinkable ethanol.

Every day
Every two days
Weekly
Bi-weekly
Monthly
Bi-monthly
Yearly
Never
2b. If you answered anything other than "never" to the above, how high would you guesstimate the ethanol content of your drinks is?
(Life tip: if you drink alcohol, drink as much water as possible during and after the experience, as well as during the night. This avoids the dehydration caused by alcohol, since it's a diuretic (simplified: it makes you piss a lot). This will solve some of the hangover the next morning (probably the headache), but the rest is caused by acetaldehyde poisoning and can't be helped.
Also, there are better (and less harmful) ways of getting totally confused and unable to speak coherently, or to lower inhibitions.)

Very high (vodka, etc.)
High
Medium
Low (beer)
Very low (stuff like shandy; common drinks mixed with a bit of beer)
*a. How regularly do you take nicotine? That's smoking cigarettes, smoking cigars, chewing tobacco, smoking tobacco in a bong, smoking tobacco in a vapouriser, nicotine patches, and so on.

Every day
Every two days
Weekly
Bi-weekly
Monthly
Bi-monthly
Yearly
Never
*b. If you answered anything other than "never" to the above, how high would you guesstimate the nicotine intake of every time you smoke (or whatever)?
(Life tip: smoking is for idiots and those too afraid of the law to try less harmful, more enjoyable drugs [is there any difference?]. I have tried it several times, and it did nothing for me really. A drug that only becomes pleasurable during addiction is not worth bothering with. It's only pleasurable because of the addiction.
If you do smoke, do it in a bong or even better, a vapouriser. However, it's probably easier to overdose this way, which leads me to my next point.
Never eat cigarettes or tobacco (duh). Three cigarettes contain enough nicotine to kill you, when eaten. One is enough for a child.)

Very high (many, many packets)
High (20+ cigs)
Medium
Low
Very low (couple of cigs)
4a. How regularly do you eat any of the following: tomatoes, chilli peppers, potatoes or eggplant/aubergine? Be honest. There is a point to this question.
Note: to count in this survey, these vegetables/fruits must be eaten raw (or in a way that preserves certain compounds in them, nutritional or otherwise). Fries don't count as potatoes.

Every day
Every two days
Weekly
Bi-weekly
Monthly
Bi-monthly
Yearly
Never
4b. If you answered anything other than "never" to the above, how high would you guesstimate the amount of these vegetables/fruits (tomatoes are fruits!) you eat?
(Life tip: obviously, fruits and vegetables are good for you. I'm not your damn mother though.)

Very high (a whole plate full of them)
High
Medium
Low
Very low (small quantities of any of the mentioned fruits/vegetables with a meal)
That was part one of my survey -- the legal drugs. Part two will involve many more drugs, particularly those evil illegal ones.
This part also has a hidden agenda: to prove one of my weird theories correct. It should if I get enough participants.
Thank you for participating, and please, feel free to register and post if you haven't already!
Results can be posted in this thread.

Thanks for participating.
For being the first person to answer the survey, you win... the prize!
[I've got to stop posting that damn image. It's an old joke now.]
Yes, if more people respond, I should be able to throw together some trends. These trends will be very revealing.
(The only one of those veggies I eat is potates, and I eat them in the form of fries, what UK people will call 'chips')
We mostly call the smaller ones from McDonalds and Burger King fries, and the larger ones 'chips'.
Chips (underneath the battered, fried fish):
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Fish_and_chips.jpg
These would still be chips, even though they're labelled as 'fries', but size is hard to judge:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Pommes-*.jpg
Fries:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Fries_draining.jpg
Fries, in our language, are the thinner fried potato snacks you get from fast food places. 'Fries' are what I ask for in McDonalds.
You can't call that fried shit nutritional though :P.
To clarify, my question involving potatoes only includes potatoes prepared in ways such as baking, etc. Frying doesn't count, since you're eating them for the fatty, salty goodness. They have to have their nutritional parts intact.

I made some edits to my posts, so please read them Moonbat and others.
I guess I should take my own survey.
*a -- Bi-weekly
*b -- Very low (occasional cokes; that's it now)
*c -- N/A
2a -- Bi-weekly (sometimes I drink some of my brother's beer, but occasional binges occur)
2b -- Low (on occasions though, I have drunk quite a lot, but alcohol's not really my thing)
*a -- Never (I have tried about 2 cigarettes on about * different days, and I didn't enjoy it and found it pointless. I don't see any reason to ever try it again)
*b -- Very low
4a -- Every two days (many days in the week I probably will have meals including potatoes, or other things listed)
4b -- Medium/low

I'll wait for some more replies, then possibly make up a part 2 tomorrow. I need a lot more survey responses to show my trend properly though.
It sometimes seems like I'm the only one that's not a caffeine addict. Daaamn.

C'mon, you need to start getting into caffinee, it's goooood. Well, not really, but the drinks themselves taste good, the caffinee is just an extra benefit. Bawlz, Mountain Dew, and Coca-Cola are my choices.

The only times I have caffeine is in my coke when I get some fried crud served to me at McDonalds.
Caffeine? I drank 4 cups of high-caffeine coffee once, and it was a horrible experience. Maybe I was just prone to it, but I just lay, shaking, anxious, angry, purposeless. It heightens the senses, but not really in good ways.
The first time I had a high dose, I was somewhat twitchy, but I was totally aware of my surroundings and had lightning-quick responses. I was pumped. It makes you more aware of your senses, essentially, I guess.
Low doses serve well to fend off sleep or to perform better, but caffeine isn't really much of a pull for me.
Caffeine does have another use I've found: bringing someone out of a benzo stupor. "I want to sleep", "drink this".
If this was **00 when coke still had cocaine in it, my opinion might be different. Instead they replaced it with another addictive compound (caffeine) and a shitload of sugar. Instead of feeling good, people get their sugar/caffeine fix and get fat.
God, what am I talking about now. I'm so tired. Perhaps, about five hours in front of your timezone, I can stay up past even the west-coast Americans here.
I try to drink just fruit juice, milk and water.

My drug of choice depends on the desired outcome. If I know I need to accomplish something and my current body chemicals say sleep, I'll definitely take a stimulant. I drink a cup of coffee just about every morning because thats when my brain thinks the clearest I just have trouble getting it motivated sometimes. Coffee is a slight jump starter. When I need a serious wake up I'll take amphetamine salts. I do not drink that often, unless im out partying downtown or bar hopping. Then I'll have a shot of jagermeister to start off followed by smooth crown & cokes for the rest of the night.
I like to keep my body balanced because I'm also a sports addict. I don't watch them, just play them. I work out like 4 times a week so I cant have too much caffeine in my body.

Heh, that'd sure be an intense wakeup.
But if I was on a caffeine binge the day before, I'll feel uber-awful.
Yup, those are caffeine withdrawals for you.

Still need more replies.
After that, I can move on to the fun part: illegal drugs. Most legal drugs are harmful and utterly shit.

I hate to resurrect a dead thread, but I've got more to say.
Today I drank a cup of coffee and actually felt motivation! I picked up a freelance project that I should have finished long ago and figured out how to redesign one of the site's scripts, and I felt motivated to do everything that needs doing.
Unfortunately it's too late now and I need to sleep.
Oh and about this thread; its ulterior motive was to prove a correlation between smoking and eating the named vegetables/fruits, since they contain nicotine just like tobacco does (although in much smaller quantities). No smokers replied, so we'll never know.
I'll probably forget about making a second part to this survey, but perhaps at some point I'll get around to it.
