Sata *.5 or *.0

After the threads about my fantasy supercomputer build, I decided to build a MINI super computer. I have run into one problem that will hold me back from completing the build.

What is the fastest sata drive on the market?
Would it be the Sata *.5gb/sec Raptor *0,000 RPM or a Sata *gb/sec drive?

I'm confused because of the technology release timeline. I would think the *.5s would be slower, but the *0k RPM seems to double the performance of the *.0. Am I reading the specs right?

Well, I just did a bit of Googling, and so far the Raptor is named the faster of the two SATA drives. I also found a good site that can compare two SATA drives based on many criteria.
