Oh ok thanks for clearing that up. Also, yes it is my school. *2 grade High School. I could get around some of the blocks but they will know it was me because all the computers connect to something called classlink, and to do anything you have to login to a preset account made by them(which they can access at anytime). So yes it gets annoying but I don't feel like getting suspended my last year there.

Yeah, not many people know that proxies can be used to edit websites. It's a hidden feature.

If you want to bypass the character limit, repeat this after your message (remove the spaces):

& # 8 2 * ;
For example (again, remove spaces),

lol
& # 8 2 * ;& # 8 2 * ;& # 8 2 * ;& # 8 2 * ;& # 8 2 * ;& # 8 2 * ;& # 8 2 * ;& # 8 2 * ;
I didn't invent that by the way, but that's the HTML entity code for a space, and counts as a character to vBulletin.

Brief tutorial on setting up your own web-proxy:
• Install Apache, mod_php and mod_ssl.
• Set up SSL configuration for Apache.
• Download PHProxy and place its files into your web server's root directory.
• Forward port 44* in your router.
• Get a DynDNS account and hostname for your machine.
• Install DDclient and set use=web in its configuration file, and use your DynDNS details when prompted.
• Access your home proxy server from school, work or anywhere else.

I've had this site in my bookmarks and thought I'd share it. It has come in handy many times for quick things.

http://proxy.org/cgi_proxies.shtml

*ftp is usually also enabled when using cgiproxy and others.

This will not pass school filters and such but will help with many other things. I like to use the cgi proxies for downloading files from rapidshare (you can only use a certain cgi proxy for this) and entering random passwords so I don't have to register at sites. If I want something for permanent and need javascript and some other things to work good I use JAP because TOR has to much shit to it anymore. Proxies are awesome and the cgi proxies are usually very fast.

For most schools if the word "proxy" is any part in the url it will be blocked.
